How do you get the driver side front axle to droop far enough to install the longer ICON JK coil springs?Updated 5 days ago
On the front of the Jeep JK’s at full extension, with the shock absorber disconnected, the drive line will not allow the axle housing to droop far enough to install the ICON coil spring. At that angle the stock OEM driveline is coming in contact with the crossmember or exhaust manifold. In order to avoid this issue, you have to either disconnect the front driveline prior to attempting to install the coil springs or replace the front driveline completely with Icon part number 22014. Once the front driveline is disconnected or replaced the front driver side axle will droop far enough to install the ICON coil spring. Please call ICON tech-support for more details (951) 689-ICON.
